"Souped Up" is a horse racing term from the turn of the 20th century.

To speed up horses, they were injected with narcotics aka/slang "Soup".

So horses (or Lance Armstrong) would be refered to as "Souped Up".

 DEVIL

Please allow me to introduce myself
I'm a man of wealth and taste
I've been around for a long, long year
Stole many a man's soul and faith

 REAL LIFE

Sagebrush Cantina in Calabasas when it was a real CANTINA,
Saw Dust on the floor & bar fights,
A stop on the Blue Grass circuit
(the singer's kid waiting by the stage for mom to finish)
The real world

 HOLYWOOD

"To survive there, you need the ambition of a Latin-American revolutionary, the ego of a grand opera tenor, and the physical stamina of a cow pony."Billie Burke

Well, I'm running down the road trying to loosen my load
Got a world of trouble on my mind
Lookin' for a lover who won't blow my cover
She's so hard to find

 SPIDER TO FLY

Sittin', thinkin', sinkin', drinkin'
Wonderin' what I'd do when I'm through tonight
Smokin', mopin', maybe just hopin'
Some little girl will pass on by

Don't wanna be alone but I love my girl at home
I remember what she said
She said, "my, my, my, don't tell lies,
Keep fidelity in your head
My my my, don't tell lies,
When you're done you should go to bed
Don't say hi, like a spider to a fly
Jump right ahead and you're dead"

Sit up, fed up, low down, go round
Down to the bar at the place I'm at
Sittin', drinkin', superficially thinkin'
About the rinsed-out blonde on my left
And then I said "my my" like a spider to a fly
Rememberin' what my little girl said

She was common, flirty, she looked about thirty
I would have run away but I was on my own
She told me later she's a machine operator
She said she liked the way I held the microphone
I said "hi" like a spider to a fly
“Jump right ahead in my web”

Quote of the Day

Todays Churchill Thought

Don't talk to me about naval tradition. It's nothing but rum, sodomy and the lash.

Factoids

Crocodiles and alligators are surprisingly fast on land. Although they are rapid, they are not agile, so if you ever find yourself chased by one, run in a zigzag line. You'll lose him or her every time.
